Samsung Skills is a domestic and international
initiative aimed at fostering the development of
skilled technical professionals worldwide.
Two South Korean national athletes competing in the International Skills Olympics are currently taking part in the games.

  • Sponsorship of the International Youth Skill Olympics and the National Skills Competitions and financial support for the national team’s training

  • A total of  1,600 top-skilled professionals recruited,
    with 148 national representatives developed

  • From 2007 to 2024, a total of 39 gold, 26 silver, and 14 bronze medals
    were won at the International Youth Skill Olympics

    Samsung SDI, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung Biologics,
    Samsung Heavy Industries, S-1, and more

Since 2007, Samsung has leveraged its global training infrastructure and expertise to sponsor domestic and international Skills Olympics, while identifying and nurturing national representatives for the National Skills Competitions.

With the support of Samsung, the athletes competing in the International Skills Olympics have achieved a total of 39 gold medals, 26 silver medals, and 14 bronze medals. Since its founding, Samsung has continuously invested in nurturing and securing top-skilled talent under its “People First” corporate philosophy. Through its support for the Skills Olympics, Samsung has been fostering technical talent at the high school level.

To build a society where technical skills are valued
more than academic background, Samsung affiliates*
directly hire outstanding skilled workers and
run a support system for Meister schools**.

  2. Annually, it selects scholarship students and supports them with
    scholarships, internships at affiliates, and priority employment in regular positions.
